Our Team
Dr. Trevor Carey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto. His research aims to improve community resilience to extreme natural hazards by strengthening the preparedness, prevention, and sustainability of geo-structures. It spans soil liquefaction under earthquake loading, seismic hazard analysis, lifetime loading of civil infrastructure, natural hazard event reconnaissance, and the use of machine learning in geotechnical site investigation. He holds a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and co-leads the Toronto Hazard Reconnaissance initiative with the TCO.
