Dr. Hamed Ibrahim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto and a member of the School of the Environment. His research focuses on hydrological modelling and on the physical relations between the lower atmosphere and the Earth’s surface that link the atmosphere, land, and oceans within the water cycle. He studies how water and heat vary across time and place, and what that variability means for water supply, energy, agriculture, and transportation infrastructure. He holds a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from MIT.
